Beginning guitar classes for kids

Ages 6-10 Saturdays, 2:00-2:45 pm
Classes will begin September 22nd!

 

Adults Mondays, 8:30-9:15 pm
Classes will begin September 17th!

 

12-week introductory course
$199, includes book & online music tracks

 

 

This class emphasizes solid musical fundamentals such as holding the guitar and the hands in an effective way to develop good technique while developing and playing melodies and chords as well as singing along with chords.

Beginning Ukulele class for kids, teens, and adults

Classes begin September 15th!

Ages 6—10 Saturdays, 3:00-3:45 pm

 

Adults Saturdays, 4:00-4:45 pm

This class will teach basic chords, strumming, singing along with steady beat strumming, & simple song writing.

Classical Guitar Ensembles

These ensembles are for intermediate and advanced guitar students, these groups meet once a week for the entire school year.

Jim McCutcheon

mccutcheonjimwebB.S., B.Mus. in  Music Performance (WSU), M.Mus. in Music Education (WSU). Styles include classical, folk, fingerstyle, jazz, and banjo. Jim is Artist-in-Residence at the University of Dayton and Faculty Associate at Wright State University. He is known to children as “The Guitar Man” and specializes in teaching young students from age 7 up.
