Group Class – Beginning Cello Class

Starting September 24th!

This class is designed for students ages 6 and up, that are new to the cello. Students will be taught the basics of posture, bow hold, and sound production. This class is a good introduction to cello, as well as a great way to work together and make new friends!


Ages 6 and up
Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm
8 week course starting September 24th
$80 includes 8, 60 minute classes, sheet music, and an end of unit recital

Abby Jones, cello

Abby Jones recently completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree, and is finishing up a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance degree at Wright State University. Being a native to the area, Abby has been performing in the Dayton and Greater Cincinnati areas since she was seven years old. She has worked with musicians such as Sergei Babayan, Ann Schein, and Maestro Keith Lockhart. Prior to college, Abby studied under Sarah Benedict, and performed as Principal Cellist in the Middletown Youth Symphony and Section cellist in the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Abby teaches cello lessons for musicians of all ages. In her spare time, you’ll find her playing with her Basset hound, Ginger, fishing on the lake, or reading a book while drinking coffee.
