Tom Buckley graduated from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies. While attending CCM, his primary focus was the drum set, but he also has extensive training in classical percussion, marching/rudimental percussion, and hand percussion. He has experience teaching private lessons to students of all ages. In addition to teaching private lessons and being a drum line instructor, he performs regularly around the Cincinnati area with a variety of groups including the Cincy Brass, the Rick Van Matre Quintet, Dan Karlsberg’s Trio, the Indoor Kid Ensemble, his band Art & Science, and many other jazz groups. Tom has also performed with the Middletown Symphony and has played drum set for musicals at the Carnegie Theater and the Know Theater in Cincinnati.
Steven M. Przyzycki
Steven M. Przyzycki is from Chicago, Illinois. He received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Percussion Performance from the Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University. As a member of the United States Air Force, Steve has performed with various military bands, including the Band of Flight. He is also an accomplished symphonic performer, having played with professional orchestras throughout the United States such as the Illinois Symphony and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Steve has taught students of all ages privately, and has also spent time teaching at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, and guest lecturing at the Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University. He enjoys unlocking the full potential that resides in each and every student to experience the ultimate joy that only music can bring. Steve has also done extensive recording work throughout his career and performed for many shows throughout Chicagoland. He has been a featured soloist on numerous concerts and recordings on keyboard percussion, as well as drum-set.
Christopher Ward holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Percussion with an emphasis in Jazz Studies from Central State University. He has taught extensively in the St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida schools as a classroom teacher, directed the Colonel White Steel Band in Dayton, and has taught privately for many years. A lifelong student of Afro-Caribbean music and performance, Christopher is an accomplished performer and educator of a variety percussion instruments such as the conga, bongo, steel pan, timbales, and many others. He also plays in various local jazz ensembles and composes.
